PTO is a successful, hardworking organization at West Limestone. The 2009-2010 school year was our 9th year as a parent teacher organization and each year gets easier and easier - with more parent involvement and more teacher involvement.
As a Parent Teacher Organization, we focus on the entire school, K-12. Currently, most of our parent involvement comes from the younger grades. We hope that in future years, we will get more parent involvement from the higher grades. Though most funds are raised by the K-6th students & parents, the higher grades do benefit from our combined efforts. The WLS Leadership, Administration Team, Teachers and Staff support the efforts of PTO to raise money to help with funding shortfalls and various Educational Projects for our school.
Basically - we are a fundraising organization. But we are parents first. Like you, we want to ensure that the projects, programs and requests that PTO funds will benefit as many students as possible. We really strive to keep our fundraising affordable and we try very hard to report to you - the parents and staff - how we are spending the money that you help raise for West Limestone. Thanks for all your help to us in our commitment to improving our school for our children. We welcome and appreciate all help and input! We still need your help with various efforts we have scheduled: Room Sales, College Hat Day, and our Santa Shop. Together - We will have a great school year!
